Bissell Park (1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike) on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The event marks the 250th Anniversary of American Independence, with the Oak Ridge Community Band performing at 7:30 p.m. and fireworks starting at dark (around 9:45 p.m.). Key Event Details Time: Music begins at 7:30 p.m.; Fireworks launch at approximately 9:45 p.m. Location: A.K. Bissell Park; the fireworks will be launched from across the street at Oak Ridge High School. Cost: Free to attend, though donations are accepted to help cover the band's equipment and expenses. Entertainment: The Oak Ridge Community Band will perform a program of patriotic music, and local food trucks (Irvey's Ice Cream and Rolling Eggrolls) will be on-site. Viewing & Parking Tips Seating: Bring lawn chairs or blankets. All of A.K. Bissell Park will be open to the public. Music Sync: The pyrotechnics soundtrack will be broadcast live on Merle FM 96.7. Parking: Parking is available at Oak Ridge High School. Parking is not allowed along the Oak Ridge Turnpike right-of-way, and attendees are reminded not to park on private property without permission.
